Client Request: Design an island that expands work area and storage while incorporating casual seating for eating and entertaining.
Solution: By doubling the size of the original island and adding bar-height seating, the client gained 3 times the storage with the addition of sturdy drawers for pots, pans, small appliances and more. The bar acts as a cozy dining area providing much more room than the original kitchen nook that existed. The colonial black finished cabinet is topped with matching granite that creates an attractive blend of an antiqued finish with contemporary stone.
