Client Request: Update a 40-year-old living space to create a contemporary feel and maximize space with functional shelving, audio components, and a desk
Solution: Constructed of sequential book-matched Maple, this fabricated system on the fireplace wall integrates a contemporary mantle, shelves, as well as a working desk and cabinets. The matched Maple was used to wrap and conceal new steel supports for the ceiling structure. Then, the existing Heart-Pine floor was refinished to match the natural Maple satin finish
